Review: City of Glass

The Mortal Instruments series is a series where each book is better than the last. City of Glass was the best book of the series, by a long shot, and I loved it!

The action reaches the ultimate climax in this book; relationships push the boundaries, the plot becomes more in depth. Its just amazing. I was able to figure out who Sebastian was but I wouldn't make that call the book predictable. You just really have to pay attention to all the fine little details. As for Jace and Clary...I knew it from book one. Just sayin!

The plot has to be one of the best I've read. Valentine isn't the ultimate bad guy of all stories, but he is pretty bad...why? Because he doesn't even see it. It's the shaping of the characters that Cassandra Clare did that made him (and everyone else) so...enjoyable, for the lack of a better term.

This book definitely rivals some of my all time favourites, and I'd proudly put it on my shelf next to my Harry Potters. So, that being said (And I tried really hard not to give too much away. It's just SO hard not to, because I love this book so much.), I really enjoyed reading the third book of The Mortal Instruments series and I can't wait to get my hands on the fourth.

Happy New Year & Blogoversary! (and Giveaway!)

Hey guys! It's officially 2012 and this year brings many new exciting things. First, today is the one year anniversary of The World of the Spork Master! I'm so stoked about this, because none of my blogs have ever succeeded or lasted this long. I like to think both of these have happened. :D It wouldn't have done either without you amazing people. I liked this past year because;

1. I successfully met my goal of reading 35 books this year!
2. I met my goal to check out 50 new movies...I watched 76. (80, including re-watching.) (I also need to review more of them here....)
3. I successfully met all of my New Years resolutions!!!! :D

I am looking forward to this 2012 for many reasons;

1. It is a NEW year! The last three years of my life have been hell, essentially. I want a happy year. :]
2. I graduate high school!
3. I start college! (YAY! and AHHH! at the same time. It's a terrifying happiness.)
4. I turn 18!
5. I move out of my hometown...which would be exciting if you all knew where it was. 
6. I can vote! (This is super important to me, especially since the presidential election is this year. :D)

My New Years resolutions include to keep my blog running, finish my high school year the best I can, start college off the best I can, not go too far into debt, and get a job. Those seem a whole lot more serious than my ones that used to be like; get more plushies or buy more shoes. Its scary getting older, peeps.

I'm still obsessed with Puck...and right now, as I read this book, I'm kinda mad at him. Thogh I'm still furious as Meghan for walking out on him. D: Let's just say I'm uber happy to get this book. :D

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

 I planned on waiting for this to come out in paperback, since I already have The Hunger Games in paperback and I hate having a series where its mixed like that. BUT. It's been like, what, three years? I don't think a paperback is coming anytime soon. So, I put it on my Christmas wishlist and here it is! :DD Can't wait to start reading it.

I really like his work, and I'm kinda obsessed, for lack of a better term, with the Raven. :]

Hey guys! Sorry about the lack of updates recently but life has been hectic. I have some reviews to come and such, so look out for that. 

BUT! I wanted to drop off a quick post wishing you all a very merry Christmas! If you're Jewish, Happy Hanukkuh! If you're...I don't know what religion it is, but Happy Kwanzaa! :D If you're atheist/agnostic/any other relgion....Have a good day! I picked this book because I think it's a refreshing change from all the paranormal and fantasy books. It's more of the real life setting with an interesting plot idea. This would be a book that I'd actually buy.
