Follow Friday (13)

It's Follow Friday time again, and it's on Friday the 13th! Woo! (No, I don't believe it's bad luck. I support the day because I was born on a 13th! :D) Anyway... This week's feature is Book Briefs (@ Alison Can Read) and Gizmos Reviews (@ Parajunkee)! Go check' em out. :D

Now for the question...

Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

I'm nervous with all books when they're made into adaptations, but there is one book (actually, series) that I would be SUPER nervous about. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa. I'd be really worried who'd they cast, mainly for Puck. Ben Barnes is a dead ringer for Ash but I don't like anyone but Xavier Samuel for Puck (Ever since Nicki @WORD For Teens suggested him for Puck's role, I can't imagine anyone else filling his shoes.). I also don't think that the world it's set in could be accurately portrayed. However, if filmmakers got it right, I would be ecstatic beyond belief. I would love that film to my dying day. :D

So, what book did you choose?

Follow Friday (12)

It's Follow Friday time again! Sorry this wasn't scheduled...so much stuff going on this week. But here it is anyway! This week's feature is Bad Ass Book Reviews (@ Alison Can Read) and  Musings of a Book Lover (@ Parajunkee)! Go check' em out. :D

Now for the question...

Q: Many readers/bloggers are also big music fans. Tell us about a few of your favorite bands/singers that we should listen to in 2012.

Well, I have a music taste that may not suit everyone, because I like things people of today don't listen to. Like, Sinatra or European bands. But anyway. Here's are my picks, and I LOVE them. You should totally check them out. ;D

Also, you should check out their songs 'Star of the County Down', 'Fields of Anthenry', 'The Little Beggarman' and  'Paddy's Green Shamrock Shore'.

Their songs 'The Foggy Dew' and 'If I Should Fall from Grace with God' is good too. :]

My last one is probably one a lot have heard about, but I love them no matter what. :D
-- Within Temptation

You might want to also check out their songs 'The Cross' (My current fav), 'The Heart of Everything', and 'What Have You Done? (Bonus Track) (feat Keith Caputo)'.

So, what artists do you like!?

Follow Friday (11)

It's Follow Friday time again! This hasn't been up in awhile, so I thought I'd give you another weekly post. This week's feature is Starcrossed (@ Alison Can Read) and Book Den (@ Parajunkee)! Go check' em out. :D

Now for the question...

Go count the number of unread books sitting on your shelf. How many?

I have around twenty unread books drifting around my room. I don't have that many compared to other bloggers, because I only buy books when I my TBR piles gets low. I'll read until I have around five books left and then I'll buy more. However, sometimes people give me books or I'll get them in the mail so my system will be all thrown off! But they usually all get read.

What about you!?

Follow Friday (10)

It's Follow Friday time again! This week's feature is Starcrossed (@ Alison Can Read) and The Bookaholic (@ Parajunkee)! Go check' em out. :D

Now for the question...

Q. What book that hasn't been turned into a movie (yet) would you most like to see make it to the big screen, and who would you like cast as your favorite character?

Xavier Samuel
OOO. I would love to see The Iron King by Julie Kagawa turned into a movie! I think it would be lovely, especially if it was done by Tim Burton. (Think the style of his Alice in Wonderland movie!) And, thanks to Nicki @ Word for Teens, I would totally cast Xavier Samuel as Puck. :D I loved Xavier before he starred at Riley in New Moon, so I don't associate him with the Twilight series. And you shouldn't either, 'cuz he's just so hot.

Jake Gyllenhaul
I also would LOVE to see The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor turned into a movie. (It actually is in the process of that. They're currently holding casting calls for Young Dodge and Young Alyss. ;D) I would love to see Jake Gyllenhaul as Dodge, because he is so yummy. <3 Just look at 'im.....
Anywhooo, what did you pick!?

Follow Friday (8)

It's Friday again, and you know what that means...;D

This Friday's feature is Alaskan Book Cafe on Alison Can Read's blog!

Q. It's that pesky magic book fairy again! She has another wish: What imaginary book world would you like to make a reality?

Oh jeez. I...no, I just can't....I just can't limit myself to one world. So I'm going to answer with all the ones I would do almost anyting to go see. (Though, if they existed, I might be pretty scared of the bad guys...)

(not in order)

1. Harry Potter's world. Duh. Though London actually does exist, I mean the world...XD Yeah.
2. Alagaesia. I want to be a dragon Rider! :DD OH. And I want to see the ELVES. <3
3. MIDDLE EARTH.
4. The other world thing in The Iron Fey series. I'm really tired and I cant think of what its called...wait..is it Netherworld!? No, I think that's Rachel Vincent's Soul Screamers series. Anyway. I just Puck. Whatever it takes to get to the Summer Court. :]

And that is all that I can think of... What did YOU pick?

Follow Friday (5)

It's Friday again, and you know what that means.... ;]

This Friday's Feature is Megan over @ The Book Addicted Girl on Parajunkee's blog, and The Little Book Blog on Alison Can Read's blog! So you should go check them out and follow 'em! Now, for the question...

Q. Let's step away from books for a second and get personal. What T-Shirt slogan best describes you?

I don't really pay attention to t-shirt slogans at all, so I had to go google some and look at some more at Cafe press. In the end, I found these; (I couldn't pick just one...)

I picked this one because you know...I like books and fantasy worlds better than reality. xD

I threaten my friends with this occasionally. And I'm always writing, so it completely works for me.

I like to be evil sometimes. In a purely fun way, of course. But I use this phrase all the time so I saw it fit to include it. :D
So, what are your picks?
